What is an IMAP server ?
An IMAP server uses the IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) protocol. This protocol is more complex than POP but offers more possibilities. This protocol is designed to fetch emails headers so that the user can decide which email to download. It's also possible to create folders to sort your emails.
